Who Am I? 

Chih-Cheng Tseng was born in Tainan, Taiwan, Republic of China (R. O. C.). After finished his studied at the Department of Electronics Engineering of Kun Shan University in 1989, he spent two years in the Army of R. O. C. for his citizen obligation. Then, he studied in the Department of Electronics Engineering of the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) and received his Bachelor’s and Master degrees in 1994 and 1997, respectively. Since 1994, he joined the Computer Network Laboratory and supervised by Prof. Jean-Lien Chen (IEEE Fellow). In 1996, he worked in the Information and Communications Research Laboratories (ICL), Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) as a communication system engineer and technique consultant for the National Police Agency, Ministry of the Interior, Taiwan, R. O. C. for the deployment of the first digital trunking radio system for Taiwan’s police officers. He joined the faculty of the Department of Electronics Engineering, Jinwen University of Science and Technology (JUST) in 1997. Advised by Prof. Kwang-Cheng Chen (IEEE Fellow), he received his Ph. D. degree from the Graduate Institute of Communication Engineering (GICE), National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2007. Since 2008, he joined the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Ilan University.He is currently a full professor. He was a visiting researcher at the Center for TeleInFrastruktur (CTIF), Aalborg University, Denmark on 2007 summer. He has been actively involved in professional activities, serving as a TPC Co-Chair of Qshine 2015, co-organizer of NGWiFi workshop in IEEE WCNC 2014, HetCarrierCom workshop in IEEE Globecom 2015, 5G CAT workshop in Qshine 2016, and New Radio Technologies workshop in IEEE PIMRC 2017, general secretariat of WPMC 2012, special session organizer of the GWS 2013 and GWS 2014, and reviewer for SCI journals and international conferences. He is currently serving as the editor of the international journals, Physical Communication (SCIE), IET Electronic Letters (SCIE), and Journal of Mobile Multimedia. He also served as the guest editor of SCI/SCIE journals such as International Journal of Sensor Networks, Wireless Personal Communications, and Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing. His research interests include the design and performance evaluation of the next generation mobile communication technologies. His research interests include protocol design, implementation and performance evaluation for the next generation mobile communications and wireless ad hoc/sensor networks. He is also a member of the IEEE.
